Life Changing
02 May 2008

Life Changing - Supported by Stockport Community & Voluntary Services Tracy received numerous nominations for this award, as she has truly turned her life around. Only ten years ago Tracy wasn’t able to read or write, and suffers from severe dyslexia, but took the decision after building up confidence to join the Learning Bus to overcome these problems. She has worked hard to gain a number of qualifications and has even received an award for being the most ‘Inspiring Student’. Tracy suffers from a number of health problems so is unable to work, but this doesn’t stop her throwing herself into everything, including volunteering to help the people of Brinnington in lots of ways. This includes running the Brinnington Samba Band, bringing music and joy to her community.

Stockport CVS was delighted to sponsor this event and encourages other individuals in their community to get involved in My Place In Stockport 2009 .
